Day 1: Kochi:  

Welcome to God’s own country! On arrival at Cochin airport, you will be received and transferred straight to check-in at your hotel in Fort Kochi. The rest of the time is spent at leisure. Stay overnight.

Day 2: Kochi:

Morning after breakfast, you will be joined by our guide who will take you on a tour of Fort Kochi. Explore Dutch Palace or the Mattancherry Palace, Later head to the St. Francis Cathedral, Chinese Fishing Nets and Jewish Synagogue. Also, visit old spice markets.

Later in the evening, you will be taken for a mesmerising performance of the traditional dance of Kerala, Kathakali dance. Stay overnight in Kochi.

Fort Kochi is a historical place in Kochi (Cochin), known for its diverse blend of cultures and colonial influences. It has well-maintained Dutch, Portuguese, and British colonial architecture. St. Francis Church, a 16th-century building, stands as a notable landmark. Fort Kochi’s narrow alleys are full with art galleries, spice markets, and cafes, making it a vibrant destination for travellers.

Kathakali is a traditional dance form of Kerala, known for its elaborate makeup, vibrant costumes, and dramatic storytelling. The performances often depict stories from Hindu epics, using intricate hand gestures, facial expressions, and graceful movements. Dancers spend years perfecting their art, creating a mesmerising experience for the audience. Attending a Kathakali performance is a chance to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Kerala and witness captivating storytelling through dance.

Day 3: Munnar:

Morning you will be picked up from your place of stay in Kochi and will be driven straight toward Munnar on a fascinating journey passing through the beautiful Cardamom hills & green carpets of tea/coffee plantations. On arrival check in at the beautiful hotel.

The Rest of the day will be free at leisure. Stay overnight.

Kerala’s tea plantations, particularly in places like Munnar, are a must-visit sight. Located in the Western Ghats, these lush hillsides are decorated with tea gardens that stretch as far as the eye can see. The air is filled with the aroma of fresh tea leaves. Tourists can explore these plantations, visit tea factories, and learn about the tea-making process. The views of rolling green hills and mist-covered landscapes visit tea plantations a serene experience offering a glimpse into Kerala’s vibrant tea industry.

Day 4: Munnar:

During the day take a plantation tour where a detailed demonstration about the cultivation of tea, coffee and some of the exotic spices of the world will be given to you. Also visit the ‘tea factory museum’, signal viewpoint and Idly viewpoint to enjoy the most spectacular panoramic views of the natural landscape of Munnar.  

You may also take an excursion to Eravikulam National Park. Eravikulam is famous for the natural habitat of Nilgiri Tahr, the endangered mountain goat. The visit will be subject to the availability of the entry tickets and will be on a direct payment basis.  

Back to your hotel for an overnight stay.  

Day 5: Periyar:

After a leisurely breakfast check out from your hotel and drive to Periyar. On arrival check at your proposed hotel. Visit the Periyar National Park, one of the best wildlife parks in India, to see wild elephants.

Later in the evening enjoy the boat ride trip over the lake to take the chance of seeing wildlife. Also, enjoy the Elephant ride inside the park.

Day 6: Kumarakom:

After breakfast check out and drive to Kumarakom. Reach and you will be assisted to check in at your beautiful backwater resort in Kumarakom. The evening will be free at leisure.

The waterways of Kerala are a network of calm lagoons, canals, nd lakes. These brackish bodies of water are surrounded by abundant greenery and picturesque villages. Houseboats, referred to as “kettuvallams,” drift through these waterways, providing a leisurely and unforgettable experience. The backwaters offer a glimpse into the tranquil village life of Kerala, with the chance to observe nature, indulge in traditional cuisine, and unwind in a peaceful setting.

Day 7: Kumarakom:

Day will be completely free at your own discretion. Enjoy Ayurvedic Massages and therapies. You may also enjoy Bird watching, sunset cruise and walking tours in the nearby villages.

Day 8: Houseboat: 

Morning will be free at leisure. Early in the afternoon will arrive at your resort. Embark in your Houseboat with fully furnished bedrooms. For the whole day you will be moving over the backwater canals and by the evening, your boat will get moored close to one of the villages, located by the backwaters.

Spend a magical night on a traditional houseboat, drifting through the backwaters, enjoying freshly prepared seafood, and embracing the unique charm of Kerala.

Day 9: Kochi- Departure:  

At the appropriate time drive to Kochi airport to board the flight back to your onward destination. Tour Ends.
