Day 1: Welcome to Guwahati

Arrive in Guwahati, where our representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your luxury hotel. Take the day to unwind and settle in.

Along the mighty Brahmaputra River and framed by the Nilachal Hills, Guwahati is the soul of Assam, blending ancient traditions with modern vibrance. The city’s essence lies in its contrasts, old temples and bustling markets on one side, sleek towers and tea auctions on the other.

Day 2-4: Shillong

After breakfast check out from your hotel and drive to Sholling. A scenic 2.5-hour drive takes you through the rolling Khasi Hills, where misty valleys and emerald-green landscapes unfold at every turn. Once a favoured retreat of British officers, the city still exudes an old-world charm with its colonial-era bungalows, pine-fringed avenues, and mist-laden landscapes.

On arrival, check-in at your hotel. In the evening will be free to take a walk on the Mall road and Police Bazaar. Explore Shillong for the next couple of days. Visit the Cascading waterfalls, and interesting museums, and take an excursion to Cherapunjee and Dawki River.

Day 5-6: Balipara – A Heritage Tea Estate Retreat

Drive further to Balipura. On arrival, you will be assisted to check in at the beautiful Wild Mahseer, Tucked away in Assam’s verdant embrace, Balipara is where time slows and nature thrives.

A stay at Wild Mahseer, a heritage plantation retreat, transports you to the bygone era of British planters, where sprawling bungalows with antique furniture, lush courtyards, and old-world charm create an atmosphere of understated luxury. Meandering through the Eastern Himalayan Botanic Ark, you’ll discover Assam’s rich biodiversity, from vibrant butterflies to endemic flora, while nature walks led by passionate conservationists offer a glimpse into the region’s delicate ecosystem.

Beyond the plantations, the untamed beauty of Nameri National Park beckons. Just a short drive away, this sanctuary on the Arunachal border is home to elephants, tigers, and over 300 species of birds. For an added touch of nostalgia, stop by the historic Misa Polo Club, a vestige of colonial Assam, where British tea planters once gathered for polo and camaraderie. Day 7-8: Kaziranga National Park

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga, The journey to Kaziranga National Park is as captivating as the destination itself. Driving through Assam’s picturesque countryside, the scenery transitions from lush tea gardens and rolling grasslands to dense forests teeming with life.

On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep and elephant safaris inside the park.

Kaziranga National Park spread over 1,000 square kilometres of elephant grasslands, marshes, and dense forests, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to over 2,200 of these majestic creatures, nearly two-thirds of their global population. Established in 1908, Kaziranga sits at the edge of the Eastern Himalayan biodiversity hotspot, offering an unparalleled wildlife experience. Beyond its famed rhinos, Kaziranga teems with biodiversity, from Bengal tigers and wild elephants to swamp deer and rare migratory birds. Whether on a thrilling jeep safari or an enchanting elephant ride at dawn, the park promises unforgettable encounters with nature.

Day 9-10: Jorhat

After the morning elephant ride and breakfast at your hotel in Kaziranga, drive to Jorhat. Surrounded by endless tea gardens, Jorhat’s lush landscapes and aromatic plantations create a serene farewell to Assam’s natural wonders.

Reach Jorhat and check in at your hotel. The evening will be free for leisure. Next day take a guided excursion to the mystical river island of Majuli.

Board the flight back to Kolkata/ Delhi from Jorhat airport. Tour ends.
