Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi:

Arrive in Delhi, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your luxury hotel. Rest and prepare for the exciting birding expedition ahead.

Days 2-3: Chambal Safari Lodge – A Riverside Birding Paradise

After breakfast, drive to Chambal Safari Lodge. On arrival, you will be assisted to check in at your beautiful hotel.

During the stay, you will be joined by out experienced naturalist for a birding tour. Take a boat ride on Chambal River where you may spot the rare Indian Skimmer, Black-bellied Terns, River Lapwings, and an array of migratory waterfowl. Raptors like the Bonelli’s Eagle and Short-toed Snake Eagle soar above, while the verdant riverbanks shelter Sarus Cranes, Black-necked Storks, and kingfishers in dazzling hues. Enjoy an evening nature walk around the lodge, listening to the chorus of birds at dusk.

Days 4-5: Bharatpur:

After breakfast, drive further to Bharatpur. On arrival check in at your hotel. During the stay enjoy rickshaw rides in Keoladeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a paradise for bird lovers.

Explore the wetlands by cycle rickshaw or on foot, encountering Painted Storks, Spoonbills, and a stunning variety of herons and egrets. Winter months bring thousands of migratory birds, including Bar-headed Geese, Siberian Rubythroats, and the majestic Greater Spotted Eagles. The park’s dense woodlands also provide refuge to owls, drongos, and the elusive Indian Courser.

Days 6-7: Ranthambore National Park – A Blend of Birds and Big Cats

Check out from your hotel in Bharatpur and drive to Ranthambore National Park, where birding meets thrilling wildlife encounters. While scanning the ancient ruins and lakes, watch for Crested Serpent Eagles, Indian Paradise Flycatchers, and Grey-headed Fish Eagles. The picturesque Jhalra and Rajbagh lakes attract a profusion of water birds, including flamingos, storks, and ibises. The possibility of spotting a Royal Bengal Tiger adds an extra layer of excitement to this biodiverse haven.

On arrival, you will be assisted to check in at your hotel. Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep safari inside the park.

DDay 8: Jaipur:

After the morning safari, drive to Jaipur. After check-in at your hotel, take an afternoon Leopard safari in Jhalana Leopard Sanctuary. Stay overnight in Jaipur.

Days 9-10: Khichan (Phalodi) – The Mesmerizing Dance of the Demoiselle Cranes

After breakfast, drive to Rajasthan’s desert landscapes to the small village of Khichan, where thousands of graceful Demoiselle Cranes arrive from Central Asia each winter. Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle as flocks gather at dawn, filling the sky in synchronized flight.

Explore the desert surroundings for Indian Thick-knees, Desert Wheatears, and various lark species. Overnight at the serene Manvaar Camp Shergarh, surrounded by golden dunes.

Day 11: Departure from Jodhpur:

Enjoy a final morning birding walk around the rocky outcrops of Jodhpur, home to Eurasian Griffons, Rock Bush Quails, and Red-headed Vultures. We will transfer you to the Jodhpur airport for your onward journey, leaving you with unforgettable memories of India’s diverse and magnificent birdlife.
